It works however you sleep, even if you move.

Back sleepers rest in the lower, curved center. Side sleepers use the higher edges, which fill the space between your ear and your shoulder. Stomach sleepers stay in the low center so the head doesn't tilt up. Roll over in the night and you just move to a different part of the same pillow.
